The drilling of NNA-1 wildcat well in Nona block onshore East Java by PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a unit of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, appears to have hit a dry hole, according to a source.
As of this writing, both PEP?s President Director Rony Gunawan and Exploration Vice President Indra Prasetya have yet to make replies to the SMS sent by Petromindo asking for confirmation.
The NNA-1 with a total depth (TD) of 4137 is drilled using a 1500 HP Rig-42 owned by PDSI. It is believed to be the deepest-ever well to be drilled by the firm onshore.
