A fuel filling terminal in Padang, West Sumatra, owned by state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, was hit by fire late on Wednesday, reports said.
A witness was quoted as saying that he heard three explosions before the fire started about 10 pm, which could be put off by the firemen about one hour later. No casualties were reported from the incident, but reportedly created concerns among motorists of fuel shortage at gas stations.
Firemen suspected the fire incident to have been caused by electrical short circuit at the pump house of the terminal. (*)
