Pertamina?s JO tender draws four bidders

Pertamina EP, an upstream unit of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina said four interested bidders are eyeing three oil, gas blocks it offered under joint operations scheme.

Pertamina EP Operations Director Bagus Sudaryanto told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday that there were 10 companies accessing the data room but only four companies are interested to bid for three blocks.

Bagus said the three blocks that drew bidders are one exploration block and two producing blocks. He did not give further detail.

He said bidders? proposals would be evaluated by independent team and results would likely be announced late December 2009.

Pertamina EP in August 2009 opened tender to find partners to operate seven of its oil, gas blocks in Sumatra, Java and Papua which consisted of two production blocks and five exploration-production blocks.

The production blocks offered are: 1) Tangai-Sukananti and 2) Loyak-Talanggula, both are located in South Sumatra. Exploration-production blocks offered are: 1) Rantau Deep Utara, 2) Rantau Deep Selatan; both located in North Sumatra, 3) Pemalang (Central Java), 4)Tuban Selatan (East Java) and 5) Klamono, Papua.

Under the so called joint operation deal, exploration-production partners will sign 20 ?year contracts with Pertamina and production partners will get 15-year contracts. (godang)
