Pertamina?s oil and gas production up 9.8%

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) said its oil and gas production rose 9.8 percent to 571 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (mboepd) in the first seven months of the year, from 520 mboepd in the same period of last year.

Vice President of Corporate Communication Wianda Pusponegoro said the production has been on the decreasing trend since early this year. The oil production averaged 259.74 mbopd in the past January. Cumulatively, the production rose to 275 mbopd in seven months through July. Meanwhile, the gas production averaged 1,712 mmscfd in seven months through July, up from 1,621.46 mmscfd recorded in January.

In total, Pertamina?s oil and gas production averaged 571 mboepd in the first seven months of the year.

Domestically, the oil and gas production was mainly contributed by PT Pertamina EP (PEP) and PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE). PEP?s production was sourced from Prabumulih, Ramba, Jatibarang, Unitiized Sukowati, Sanga-Sanga and Bunyu for oil; and Subang, Bunyu, and Pendopo for gas. PHE?s contribution mainly came from ONWJ, WMO, CPP BOB, and OSES for oil; and ONWJ, Corridor, Tomori, WMO, and Jambi Merang for gas.
