Pertamina?s oil, gas production up 25%

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina said that oil and gas production in the first six months of this year reached 654,000 boepd, or up 25 percent compared to 520,000 boepd in the corresponding period of last year.

Pertamina Senior Vice President for Strategic Planning and Operation Evaluation, Meidawati, was quoted by Investor Daily as saying Thursday that oil production in the first semester of this year reached 311,000 bpd, or up 22.44 percent compared to the 254,000 bpd in the January-June period of last year.

Meanwhile, realized gas output was 1,983 mmscfd, an increase of 28.59 percent from 1,542 mmscfd,

Meidawati said that Pertamina?s overseas assets in Iraq, Algeria, and Malaysia. ?Higher oil production was seen in Iraq and Algeria, while gas in Malaysia and Algeria,? she told the paper. (*)
