Pertamina's Plaju unit begins gas coolant production

Pertamina's oil processing unit in Plaju, South Sumatera officially inaugurated on Monday the operation of its gas coolant and propellant production facilities, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.

Sukotjo Wakimin, the engineering and development manager of Pertamina's Plaju oil processing unit, said on Monday that the gas coolant product would be marketed under the brand of Musi Cool, while propellant would be marketed under the name Aerosol Propellant.

The new facility can produce four tons of gas coolant a day. The coolant is environmentally friendly substance which can replace CFS for refrigerators or air conditioners, while the propellant is used in the production of cosmetics , paint and insecticide.(*)
