Pertamina?s unit buys vessel from Malaysia

PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to buy a vessel from Malaysian firm Pleasant Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
PTK said in a statement obtained Tuesday that the signing of the MOA took place on Feb. 4 at the firm?s main office on Jl, Kramat Raya, Jakarta. It was signed by PTK?s President Director Ahmad Bambang and Ng Chin Kok of Pleasant Engineering.
Pleasant Enginering, established in 2004, based in Sandakan on the Malaysian part of Borneo Island, is engaged in the manufacturing and provision of offshore transportation means.
PTK will buy an Harbour Tug 4000 BHP vessel called Amberstar 40553 with the engine number of 07/12, whose construction has been around 70 percent completed. The vessel will be used to support the operation of PT Badak NGL in Bontang, East Kalimantan.
