State oil and gas company PT. Pertamina said it had completed 2006 delivery talks with North Asian LNG buyers and agreed to cut 52 cargoes from Bontang and 9 cargoes from Arun next year.
?In 2006 Bontang will ship 322 cargoes while Arun will ship 61 cargoes to customers in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan,? said Pertamina?s marketing director Ari Soemarno,
This year Indonesia is expected to cut
Indonesia is forced to cut LNG export as gas reserves in Aceh are depleted and development of new gas fields in East Kalimantan cannot make up production depletion. Production from East Kalimantan gas producers Chevron East Kalimantan and Vico Indonesia are declining due to lack of new field development and declining output, while production addition from Total Indonesie could not balance the decline.
