Pertamina says Cilacap explosion does not affect production

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina said that there was an explosion at its Cilacap refinery in Central Java on Sunday morning, but that the incident had not affected production.

Pertamina spokesman Basuki Trikora Putra said the explosion resulted from a flash occurring at the Unit One of the refinery's lube oil complex. ?The main refinery facility is safe and production has not been affected,? Basuki said.

The Cilacap refinery is the country?s biggest refinery with a capacity of 348,000 bpd. The refinery supplies 60 percent of fuel to Java. (godang)
