State oil and gas company PT Pertamina said it was not interested in acquiring Poleng Block owned by Kodeco in Central Java.

"We have no interest in Poleng. We?re concentrating on the finalization of our acquisition in Algeria," PT Pertamina Upstream Business Development Director Andriyansah told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Friday.

Andriyansah was commenting on unconfirmed reports that Kodeco had planned to farm out Poleng Block and Pertamina is interested. But he gave no further details on the acquisition in Algeria.

Kodeco was reluctant to give any information regarding the farming out plan.

Separately, Acting Director General of Oil and Gas at the ministry of energy and mineral resources, Edi Hermantoro, admitted that he had not yet received any proposal from Kodeco to farm out Poleng Block.

"I haven?t yet heard about it,? Edi Hermantoro told Petromindo.com.
