State oil company Pertamina said on Thursday it was ready to test run flowing natural gas from its West Natuna operation to Petronas' Duyong Complex in Malaysia.

.

Pertamina signed a 20-year agreement last year with the Malaysian state oil firm to supply 150 million standard cubic feet (MMCF) of gas per day for the first two years, rising to 250 million MMCF afterwards.

"The pipeline has been concluded, we are ready for a trial to flow the natural gas from West Natuna to Duyong," a Pertamina official told Reuters.

"Pertamina and Petronas are expected to officially inaugurate gas deliveries on August 8," he added.

The gas will be supplied from South Natuna Sea Block B in the West Natuna sea, which comes under a production-sharing contract where Conoco operates the field. (*)
