Pertamina says W. Java delineation well flows 3,447 BOPD

PT.Pertamina EP, an upstream arm of state oil, gas firm PT.Pertamina (Persero) said on Friday that test conducted on Pondok Makmur-2 delineation well in Bekasi, West Java, on November 24, flowed oil at the rate of 3,447 barrels per day and 6.7 MMCFD of gas on 40/64 inch-choke.

The well was spudded on August 2008 and reached planned total depth of 3,034 meters on November 18, 2008, CEO Tri Siwindono said.

Siwindono said that Pertamina planned to drill two wells near Pondok Makmur-2 early next year to establish the reservoir volume.

Pondok Makmur-2 well was a follow up of Pondok Makmur-1 discovery, which has been brought into production and currently produces 850 BPOD and 1.1 MMCFD of gas.

Pondok Makmur is part of Pertamina?s Pondok Tengah oil, gas complex, which currently produces 23 MMCFD of gas supplied to PLN?s Muara Tawar power plant in Bekasi.(godang)
