State oil and gas company PT Pertamina scrapped high-octane gasoline swap deal with Malaysian firm Petronas over disagreement in prices, a Pertamina official said.

Deputy Director Marketing Hanung Budya told Petromindo.Com that Petronas offered too high price for its products.

Under the deal, Pertamina would have supplied high-octane gasoline RON-90 and RON-95 for Petronas to sell at its gas stations in Jakarta from its refineries in Java and South Sumatra while Petronas would have supplied the same type of fuel for Pertamina to sell at its gas stations in northern Sumatra from its Malaysian refinery.
