Kasim refinery

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is seeking for additional crude supply from outside Sorong, Papua Province, for its Kasim oil refinery.

The move comes as the Kasim refinery, which has installed capacity to process 10,000 bpd of crude, has been running at only 6,000 bpd due to lower crude supply from Petrogas.

?We?ll seek additional crude supply for Kasim refinery from outside Sorong,? said Pertamina Processing Director, Toharso to Petromindo.com on Wednesday, bud did not provide further details.

Secretary General of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Susyanto earlier told this portal that the Kasim refinery has been running at below capacity. He also said that the ministry has obtained information that Pertamina was planning to expand the capacity of the Kasim refinery. Toharso did not confirm the plan.
