State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is seeking for a new LNG supply from Australian LNG producer Woodside Energy in a bid to meet growing domestic demand in the future, according to a source.

The source told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that a 20-year LNG supply deal is expected to be signed in September of this year, with a volume of 0.5 million tons per annum. The source did not provide further details.

Pertamina Vice President for LNG Marketing, Wiko Mirgantoro could not be immediately reached for confirmation.

Woodside Energy Trading Singapore Pte Ltd announced on June 6 it had entered into a long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Pertamina for the supply of LNG commencing in 2019.

Woodside Singapore has committed to supply initial ramp up quantities building to approximately 0.6 million tons per annum from 2022 to 2034, and has the option to increase the supply to approximately 1.1 million tons per annum from 2024 to 2038.
