Pertamina seeks two LNG cargoes from Qatar and Oman

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina is seeking to buy two cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Oman or Qatar for fertilizer firm PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) in Aceh.
?We are seeking to buy two cargoes from Oman and Qatar,? Pertamina?s director of commerce and marketing Arie Soemarno said on Monday.
The move comes following Pertamina?s recent failure to buy one cargo of LNG from Nigeria.
PIM has been facing an acute shortage of gas supplies this year, following the decline in gas reserves in the province.
Arie also said he would go to South Korea and Japan to pay ?courtesy calls? on the buyers of Indonesian LNG in both countries. (Godang)
