Pertamina sees problem in fuel subsidy coupon

The state oil and gas firm Pertamina said that the plans by the government to introduce fuel subsidy coupon will create problems in the implementation.

Pertamina public relations official Toto Suprapto said that one problem is counterfeit coupon.

"Even the rupiah banknotes are being faked," he said.

The government has decided to raise the fuel prices starting April, but the prices of certain fuel products for the poor and public transportation will remain. These targeted groups will be given a coupon to enjoy the fuel subsidy. (*)
