Pertamina sets new fuel prices for industry

Under the decree signed on January 30, 2007, Pertamina sets varied prices for the fuel depending on the regions.
The prices of fuel products for industry have been slashed by between 0.4 and 4.4 percent as Pertamina adjusted the prices in line with the Mid Oil Platts Singapore (MOPS) index.
Premium gasoline's price for Region I (Sumatra, Java, Bali) has been slashed by 3.0 percent to Rp 4,080 (US$45.8 cents) from Rp 4,839.7 per liter, while kerosene's price has been down by 4.4 percent to Rp 4,813 from Rp 5,541 per liter. Meanwhile, price for marine diesel fuel in the region has been cut by 3.8 percent to Rp 4,273 per liter, but marine fuel oil's price has been raised up 1.4 percent to Rp 2,699 per liter.
The company cut prices of other fuels high-speed diesel, which were set 1.8 percent lower at Rp 4.450 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of high-octane gasoline Pertamax for Region III (Jakarta, Banten, West Java) has been lowered to Rp 4.750 from Rp 4,850 per liter. The prices of Pertamax Plus and Pertamina DEX gasoline have fallen to Rp 4.900 and Rp 5.550 from Rp 5,000 and Rp 5,600 per liter, respectively.
The company has also cut the price of Biopertamax gasoline to Rp 4.750 from Rp 4,850 per liter.
Pertamina uses MOPS as benchmark to determine fuel prices every month. (godang)
