Pertamina, Shell team up to create new fuel product

The state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina may work together with Shell International on a project to transform gas into fuel product, according to Pertamina president Baihaki Hakim.

Baihaki said that creating the above new fuel product was possible to be implemented in Indonesia, but Pertamina was still studying the economic feasibility of it.

Separately, Pertamina upstream director Iin Arifin Takhyan said that Pertamina had signed an MoU with Shell to implement the project.

He said that the gas to be transformed into fuel product were those which could not be transformed into liquefied natural gas (LNG).(Godang)
