Pertamina ships 2 LNG cargoes to Japan

State-owned oil, gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), which acts as the seller of Indonesian liquefied natural gas (LNG), has shipped two cargoes of LNG in the April-May period to Japanese firms including to Tohoku Electric Power Co. The two cargoes are part of the 6 cargoes the firm planned to ship to Japan this year.
Petromindo.Com?s source said that the LNG is part of the excess output of the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan, allocated for spot market.
The shippment of the remaining 4 cargoes are expected to occur between June to December this year, the source said without giving further details.
Nikkei newspaper earlier report, that Tokyo Electric Power Co. and Tohoku will receive 1 million tonnes of LNG from Indonesia this year. (godang)
