Pertamina short-lists bidders for S. Sumatra LPG JV partner

State oil and gas company Pertamina had short-listed three bidders to become its joint venture partner to build LPG plant in South Sumatra and expected decision to be made in one month.
?Two Japanese companies; Mitsui and Sumitomo and South Korea?s LG had been short-listed, and Pertamina will pick the winner in a month,? said Pertamina president baihaki Hakim.
Baihaki said once the joint venture partner was decided, construction of the 250-ton per day project would be commenced immediately to enable the plant to start producing in 2007.
The LPG substance would be extracted from natural gas produced by Pertamina in South Sumatra.(alex)
