Pertamina signs EPC contract of JTB gas field processing facility

Pertamina said in a statement on Tuesday that the US$984 million EPC contract was signed with a consortium comprising of Indonesia?s state-owned engineering and construction firm PT Rekayasa Industri, Japan?s JGC Corporation and its local subsidiary JGC Indonesia.
Pertamina said the JTB gas field project is targeted to be on-stream in the fourth quarter of 2020.
The JTB gas field project will have production capacity of 315 mmscfd for 14.8 years, of which 172 mmscfd has been committed, the statement said. In November, Pertamina and PLN signed a gas sales and purchase agreement, under which PLN will buy gas from JTB field at a price of US$7.6 per mmbtu.
Meanwhile, JGC Corp said in a separate statement that the project contract calls for the design and construction of a plant to process 330 mmscfd natural gas (with 1% H2S and 34% CO2 content) for the production of 172 mmscfd sales gas, condensate and so on, from natural gas produced by the unitized Jambaran - Tiung Biru gas field in the Bojonegoro area developed by PEPC and its partners.
