“The production from the signing fields are expected to reach 9,100 barrels per day in 2009,” Pertamina EP CEO Kun Kurnaely said on Wednesday.
Committed investment in the oil field exploration project will reach US$135.4 million. More cooperation deals are expected to be signed with partners this year to operate 11 maturing exploration fields and nine production fields, Kun said.
"We intend to sign all the cooperation deals this year in conformity with the government's expectation to speed up the oil and gas production," Kun added.
Pertamina EP's first quarter 2007 average oil production reaches 106.8 mbopd, or an increase of 91 percent from the company's 2007 target of 117.4 mbopd. (Bernard)
