Pertamina signs US$675m gas sale contracts
Total signs gas contract amendment with Kutai?s firm.

The contracts were signed on the sidelines of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) Convention & Exhibition.
The four contracts are:
1. The contract with PT Pertamina (Persero) for the supply of gas to the Unit VI of Balongan refinery in West Java. Pertamina EP will supply a total of 95.25 trillion British thermal unit (TBTU) of gas from its fields in West Java over a period of 10 years under the contract worth $428.6 million.
2. The contract with PT Pertamina (Persero) for the supply of gas that will be used to support the deliver of fuels from the Balongan refinery to the Plumpang fuel depot in North Jakarta through pipelines. Pertamina EP will supply a total of 2.76 TBTU of gas worth $12.4 over a period of 10 years for the program. The gas will be sourced from its fields in West Java.
3. The contract with PT Pertamina (Persero) for the supply of gas to the firm?s LPG refinery in Pangkalan Brandan, North Sumatra. The gas will be sourced from the Glagah Kambuna TAC block. A total of 8.03 TBTU of gas will be supplied over a period of four years under the contract worth $36.1 million.
4. The contract with PT Pertiwi Nusantara Resources for the supply of gas to industrial consumers in North Sumatra. The gas will also be produced from the Glagah Kambuna TAC block. A total of 26.64 TBTU of gas will be supplied under the eight-year contract worth $167.9 million.
During the event, French firm Total E&P Indonesie also signed a gas sale contract amendment with the energy firm owned by East Kalimantan?s Kutai Kertanegara regency administration for the supply of gas to the power plant to be built in Senipah. Total will supply a total of 146 TBTU of gas over a period of 20 years. (Godang/Bernard)
