Pertamina, Sojitz plan power plant project in N. Sumatra

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina signed on Friday an MoU with Sojitz Corporation and PT Pembangunan Prasarana Sumatera Utara to develop a 1x250 MW combined-cycle steam and gas power plant in North Sumatra.
Pertamina said in a statement that investment for the power plant project is estimated at US$250 million. The company hopes to be able to complete the project in 2019.
The company said that the planned project is part of efforts for optimal utilization of the Arun Receiving, Hub and Regasification LNG Terminal in Aceh.
