Pertamina, Sonangol to form JV

Indonesia?s state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and its counterpart from Angola, Sonangol EP, will set up a joint venture company to realize various oil and gas projects between the two firms, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Thursday.
The paper quoted Pertamina Director Ahmad Bambang as saying that he hoped the JV could be formed in January of next year.
The planned JV is a follow up an October 31 framework agreement signed by Pertamina and Sonangol, under which the two companies will cooperate in various projects including upstream development, petroleum and petrochemical refineries, and the import of crude oil by Indonesia from the African nation.
