State oil and gas company Pertamina said on Thursday it had reached deal with Algerian national oil company Sonatrach to supply crude from Algeria to Indonesia and the agreement will formally be signed in Algeria next week.
Baihaki said the deal would initially be signed for one year and could be extended if needed. The deal would call for Sonatrach to supply at least 1 million barrels of Saharan Blend per month to feed Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan.
Baihaki, however, did not say when the first shipment under the one-year contract would commence. (alex/godang)
