Pertamina soon to launch Tiung Biru's appraisal drilling

PT Pertamina EP has set a schedule for appraisal drilling at Tiung Baru-2 and 3 wells in Central Java and is now preparing the drilling sites.

"We plan to drill Tiung Biru 2 and 3 wells late in July or early in August and September. The sites are being prepared," the company's Director of Exploration and Development Doddy Priambodo told Petromindo.com.

When asked if Pertamina would unitize the Tiung Baru and Jambaran fields and jointly operate the unitized areas with Mobil Cepu Ltd, Doddy expressed optimism an agreement would be reached.

Tiung Biru is located within Pertamina EP?s Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the Cepu giant oil, gas block jointly operated by Exxon Mobil Corp unit Mobil cepu Limited (MCL) and Pertamina. (godang)
