Pertamina, SPC signs deal on joint domestic, overseas exploration

State oil and gas company Pertamina signed on Friday an MoU to jointly bidding for exploration blocks in Indonesia, Australia and Papua New Guinea with Singapore Petroleum Company (SPC).

Pertamina exploration director Sukusen Soemarinda said after the MOU signing that both companies will also conduct joint study that would lead to joint exploration venture in Besitang field, a maturing field owned by Pertamina in North Sumatra.

Both companies will also study possibility to jointly bidding in Indonesian exploration block bidding rounds.

Sukusen also said that SPC had also shown interest to participate in Gresik-Semarang pipeline project, which right had been granted to Pertamina. (godang)
