Pertamina spuds Akasia Bagus well

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, has spudded the Akasia Bagus #1 well of Akasia Besar field in West Java block in Indramayu, West Java with target depth of 2,500 meters, the company?s senior official said.
?Last night, at around midnight (00.00) western Indonesian time, we spudded the Akasia Bagus #1,? PT Pertamina EP Vice President for Exploration , Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He said that his company?s targets were Talang Akar, Baturaja, and Cibulakan, with the hope to find oil and gas.
The company has previously reported that it has discovered gas during its recent exploration drilling in Indramayu, West Java. The drilling was conducted to delineate its discovery of hydrocarbon in the area.
