State oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) is still looking to buy additional volume of overseas LNG cargoes under long-term contracts after it has secured LNG supply deal with Australian producer Woodside Energy.

Senior VP Gas, Power and Renewable Djohardi Angga Kusuma told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday the negotiations cannot be disclosed on the ground of confidentiality.

Pertamina has just signed deal with Woodside to buy LNG starting 2019, ramping up to 600,000 tonnes per annum from 2022 to 2034 and has the option to increase the supply to approximately 1.1 million tonnes per annum from 2024 to 2038.

Earlier in April, Pertamina signed deal with ExxonMobil to purchase 1 million tonnes of LNG per annum starting 2025 under 20-year deal.

Previously Pertamina has also signed similar deal with Total and Cheniere Energy.
