Pertamina still waiting for geothermal tender result

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energ (PGE), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, is still waiting for the authorities in Aceh Besar regency in Nangroe Aceh Darussalam to announce the result of the tender for the contract to develop geothermal resources in Seulawah Agam.

In August this year, Trisnaldi, Geothermal Director at the Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation confirmed that PGE had won the tender, which drew four bidders including among others PGE, PT Chevron Geothermal Indonesia.

However, PGE?s President Director Andriyansyah told Petromindo.com on Friday that the firm is still waiting for an announcement from the Aceh Besar regency, declaring it is the winner of the tender.

When contacted on Friday, Tisnadi said the regency is still preparing the IUP license for the geothermal working area.
