Pertamina still wants to sell IDD gas

State owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina remains hopeful it could accompany Chevron Corp., the operator of Indonesia Deepwater Development (IDD) project in Makassar Strait offshore East Kalimantan, as the gas seller of the project.
On June 12, upstream authority BPMIGAS Head of PR, Security and Formality Division Gde Pradnyana said that Chevron has been appointed as the seller of gas of government share from the IDD project. But Pertamina is still hopeful it could sell a certain allocation of the gas volume.
?We have submitted the request letter to BPMIGAS long time ago, the responses have been positive but no further discussions as yet,? Pertamina VP of Gas Marketing at Gas Directorate Djohardi Angga Kusuma told petromindo.com.
Pertamina has said it could give an added value to upstream, midstream (Bontang LNG plant) and downstream (LNG market) sector of the business if it could sell the IDD gas. The IDD gas project is in water depths of approximately 6,000 feet. It is scheduled for commercial production by January 2015.
