Pertamina stops crude supply from S. Kalimantan field on pipeline leak

Pertamina EP, a unit of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) is forced to stop crude supply from its Tanjung oilfields in South Kalimantan to Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan following a leak in the pipeline.

Kompas daily reported that the pipeline leak was detected last Saturday and leak was believed to be caused by aging pipes.

Pertamina EP Tanjung Spokesperson Noor Erfansyah was quoted by the daily as saying that supply to Balikpapan may resume in two days. (*)
