Pertamina strikes gas, condensate at W. Java well

PT Pertamina EP, an upstream subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) said it has discovered hydrocarbon in a drilling operations in West Java.
President Director Salis Aprilian told Petromindo.Com on Friday that the Akasia Bagus-1 well in Indramayu, which was spudded in December 2009, has reached total depth of 3,200 feet late February 2010.
The well tested gas and condensate, he said, adding that the Company has tested five of the six layers discovered within the well. He did not give further detail. (bernard)
