Pertamina strikes gas in C. Sulawesi

State oil and gas company PT. Pertamina said its exploration division had strike more gas in Matindok Block in Central Sulawesi.

Pertamina upstream exploration division head Amril Adnan said Monday that Sukamaju-1 onshore exploration well, which was spudded in January this year and drilled to the total depth of 2,565 meters, had flowed 16.7 MMCFD of gas and 195 BPD of condensate. Amril said the well has 41-meter net gas pay.

Another well, Maleo Raja-1 (onshore), which was spudded on May 10 with total depth of 2,880 meters, flowed 12.6 MMCFD of gas and 160 BPD of condensate. The well has net gas pay of 36 meters.

Amril said another well-called Anoa Hijau would be drilled by the end of this year. Pertamina also plans to conduct 1000-km seismic study on the block next year.

Matindok Blocks consists of to areas. One part called Donggi Block is operated by Pertamina and another half called Senoro-Toili is operated jointly with Exspan Nusantara, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Medco Energi International Tbk. (godang)
