Pertamina strikes oil, gas in W. Java

State oil and gas company PT. Pertamina had recently made oil and gas discovery in Cikampek, West Java exploration area, a BPMIGAS official said.

The first drill stem test (DST) of KKB-1 well with 32/64? choke flowed 225 BOPD of oil with 43.9 degree API and 5.62MMCFD of gas, Dodi Hidayat, BPMIGAS deputy in charge of operations told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, he said that the first DST on Pertamina?s KRM-1 exploration well onshore Jambi failed to encounter hydrocarbon. Pertamina will try second DST on the well, said Dodi. (godang)
