State oil and gas company Pertamina ?s first Donggi delineation well in Donggi Block onshore Central Sulawesi operations area has been abandoned as a gas and condensate well, IHS Energy reported Tuesday.

Donggi -2 reportedly flowed 9.2 million standard cubic feet per day (MMCFD) and 40 barrels per day (BPD) of condensate during a drillstem test. It was drilled to a total depth of 2,480m, targeting the same Minahaki and Tomori Formation reefal carbonates as those tapped at Pertamina?s Donggi 1 discovery well, located about 2.5km to the east south-east. That 2001 discovery was tested flowing 33.14 MMCFD of gas and 158 BPD of condensate.

Pertamina estimates that the Donggi Field contains approximately 880 BCF of proven gas reserves with 3.4 TCF as probable reserves.

Donggi block, which is operated by Pertamina, together with adjacent Senoro-Toili block, jointly operated by Pertamina and Exspan Nusantara, form Matindok Block, which is designated to be Indonesia?s fourth LNG center. (robert)
