Pertamina surveys oil reserves in E Java

State-oil and gas company Pertamina has conducted a survey of potential oil reserves in East Java's Bojonegoro in association Exxon Mobile Oil subsidiary Mobile Cepu Limited (MCL).

The survey, applying the three-dimension seismic system, was conducted on Tuesday to obtain a geological picture of the lower layers of land in the area, Bojonegoro Regent Atlan said.

Meanwhile, Setianto of Pertamina said Pertamina in conducting the survey had to ask for assistance of Mobile Oil Limited since the survey needed highly sophisticated equipment and instruments.

The survey will cover various stages, including preparations of licenses and the mobilisation of equipment and facilities, and the stage of actual operations. (*)
