Pertamina, Talisman sign new MoU on upstream cooperation

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and Talisman Asia Ltd have recently signed a new MoU on cooperation in upstream oil and gas development.
Pertamina said in a statement Monday that the new MoU is an extension of the first MoU which expired in August of 2014. There weren?t any substantial changes in the new MoU, which was signed by Pertamina Upstream Director Syamsu Alam and his counterpart General Manager of Talisman Asia Ltd, David Lamb.
The statement said that under the MoU the two firms will hold joint study of oil and gas potential both at their respective working areas and outside, and cooperation in the development of conventional and non-conventional upstream oil and gas assets both at home and overseas.
?As part of the implementation of the cooperation, in the near future a joint study program will be proposed for the Banyumas area in Central Java,? said Syamsu.
