State oil and gas company PT Pertamina said it targets to complete the construction of Centralized Crude Oil Terminal in Lawe-lawe, Penajam Pasir Utara, in East Kalimantan, in 2013.
Director for Crude Processing of Pertamina Edi Setianto said the crude terminal will function as hub for crude from Production Sharing Contractors (PSCs).
?The crude terminal will also function as central crude blending facility that will provide value added to Pertamina oil refineries,? Edi told Petromindo.com.
Pertamina will construct several storage tanks in the area.
The crude terminal is expected to store more than 25 million barrels of crude oil. The crude terminal will be built on 750 hectares of land.
Pertamina said earlier that the crude oil terminal will support Pertamina in maintaining crude oil stocks. The crude oil stocks will be supplied Pertamina's refineries.
Edi Santoso however did not disclose the amount of investment to build the crude oil terminal.
