Pertamina tests S. Sumatra exploration well, drills dry hole in W. Java

PT Pertamina EP, an upstream arm of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina is currently testing a well in South Sumatra after drilling a dry hole in West Java, a company official said.

Pertamina EP President Director Salis Aprilian told Petromindo.Com on Friday that the Puspa A exploration well is currently being tested after being drilled to the depth of 2,800 meters.

Meanwhile, drilling of Argowangi A in West Java failed to discover hydrocarbon and declared as dry hole after being drilled to the depth of 2,000 meters, he said. (bernard)
