Pertamina to boost PTA production

State-owned oil and gas company Pertamina will boost its PTA (Purified Therepthalic Acid) this year to 183,000 tons from 120,000 tons last year, the Bisnis Indonesia daily reported on Tuesday.
The paper quoted a source as saying that the higher output would be possible after it completed a maintenance program at its Plaju plant in South Sumatra.
PTA is raw material for textile.
Pertamina gets raw material for PTA production from the Cilacap refinery unit. (*)
