State oil and gas company PT Pertamina has planned to develop power plants with a total generation capacity of 1.8 GigaWatt until the year of 2017.
The plan, which is contained in the blue print of the directorate of gas and power of PT Pertamina, is designed in line with the government?s target of energy mix program.
Based on the government target, Indonesia?s total energy mix will consist of at least 30 percent from bio-fuel, 30 percent from biomass, solar cell, hydro, and wind, and the other 40 percent from geothermal, CBM, and liquefied coal.
Pertamina?s Gas and Power Senior Vice President Salis Aprilian confirmed on Tuesday that based on the blue print, Pertamina has targeted to build power plants at a total generation capacity of 1.8 GW in 2017.
?It hasn?t yet confirmed on the locations and when they are to be built. But more or less it is made in line with the government energy mix target,? he told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Tuesday.
