State owned oil and gas firm PT Petamina will build a total of seven LNG regassification terminals and five LNG plants through 2019, according to a senior official of the firm.

Speaking in a seminar at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) campus recently, Hendra Jaya, President Director of PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), said all the new facilities will be built by the firm through its New and Renewable Energy Directorate.

?This will become a solution to the (current) gas-supply-demand gap,? Hendra said.

During the same period, Pertamina will build 120 CNG stations for transportation and three CNG stations for industry, including one in Teluk Lamong, East Java, he said.
