Pertamina to build largest HSD storage in Sambu island

State oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) is planning to build a high speed diesel (HSD) storage facility in Sambu island, which is adjacent to Singapore to cater for export and domestic market.
Pertamina?s Trading and Marketing Director Djaelani Sutomo told Petromindo.Com that the feasibility study on the project is currently being carried out. The storage facility will likely has capacity of 500,000 kiloliters, he said, adding that the plan has been proposed to the government.
He added that facility will be utilized by Pertamina?s fuel and crude trading unit Pertamina Energy Trading Limited (Petral).
Djaelani expected the storage would be operational in 2013 should the study showed the project to be economically feasible. ?The Sambu island storage will be Pertamina?s largest,? he said.
He did not give detail about the investment required to build the facility. (bernard)
