Pertamina to build mini-LPG plant in Jambi

State-owned oil and gas company Pertamina will build mini liquid petroleum gas (LPG) plant in Buliyan, Jambi, Koran Tempo quoted company’s upstream director Bambang Nugroho as saying in its Friday edition.

Bambang said the plant is now reached research stage.

Pertamina will also develop gas to liquid (GTL) facility either at Matindok field or Donggi in Sulawesi, which has huge gas reserves. It has already found 1.5 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of gas reserves.

As per the operational plan, Pertamina will work with several companies like Japan National Oil Company (JNOC) for research and development. The main objective of this project will be to produce natural gas with high CO2 content, which needs high tech. (*)
