State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to build a new fuel oil depot in Sukabumi, West Java, as existing facilities in Padalarang, also in West Java, and in Plumpang, in Jakarta, are already overload.

Pertamina Marketing Director M. Iskandar was quoted by radarsukabumi.com as saying that the new depot will help facilitate fuel supply in West Java, Banten and Jakarta provinces.

Iskandar on Thursday met with Sukabumi Regent Marwan Hamami discussing the planned fuel depot. Marwan welcome the plan, but said it has to wait until the West Java spatial general plan has been approved by the provincial administration.

No further details about the project is provided. (*)
