Fety, the spokesperson for Pertamina?s Processing Unit 5, said in Jakarta on Wednesday that the CCT would be the largest in Indonesia and the second largest in the world. The terminal, which will occupy a 900-hectare area, will have 32 storages.
She said that 24 storages would be built in the first stage and the other eight in the second stage. ?The construction is scheduled for completion in 2014,? Fety added.
About 80 percent of the crude oil to be stored in the CCT will be imported, with the remaining 20 percent to be supplied from local oil producers, Fety said. ?The crude will be imported from Australia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and other Middleast countries,? she added.
Fety said that the construction of the terminal received strong supports from the local authorities including the regent of the North Penajam Paser regency. (*)
