Pertamina to build Rp100 billion fuel transit facility in S. Sulawesi

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina will start to build a fuel transit facility in Baubau, Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, in the middle of this year to ensure sufficient fuel supply to the whole Sulawesi, Investor Daily reported Thursday.
Soehartoko, general manager of marketing unit VII of Pertamina?s Sulawesi, said in Makassar Wednesday that the facility with a capacity of 35,000 kiloliters (kl) would need an investment of Rp 100 billion.
According to Soehartoko, the fuel transit facility in Baubau will be the biggest fuel depot in Eastern Indonesia Region as the existing one in Makassar has a capacity of 17,500 kl. (*)
